Parish Ministries and Services

Daily Mass:  Monday to Saturday 8:00am
Sunday Mass:  7am, 9am, 11am & 6pm
Saturday Mass:  5:00pm


New Parishioners: Please Register with the Rectory or sign the registry book at the Church entrance.

Anointing/Communion for the Sick: If seriously ill at home and prior to entering the hospital, please consider anointing.  Contact the Rectory Office at extension 100.  For communion only, call the Outreach Office at extension 203.

Infant Baptism:  Call the Rectory Office at extension 100.  Click HERE to obtain more information on having your child baptized. 

Reconciliation:  (Individual Confessions)  Saturday afternoon from 3:30pm to 4:30pm or by appointment.  Community Penance Service announced in Sunday bulletin.

Funerals: Call Rectory, (808) 623-3332 extension 100, before contacting the funeral home.

Marriages & Marriage Validations: No wedding date can be set before interviews and proper instructions are completed.  Four months is the minimum time allowed to plan for a Catholic marriage.

Liturgical Ministries

Liturgy Planning

Purpose: Develop plans for coordinated liturgies encompassing all areas of liturgical ministry for Sundays, special celebrations and seasons of the year.

Requirements: Minimum 18 years old and registered parishioner.  Some training in liturgy and previous involvement in liturgical ministry is desirable.

Time Involvement: Meetings at least once a month, more during special seasons.  Participation in annual training/spiritual development.

 

Altar Servers

Purpose: Assist at Mass on Sunday and special liturgies to make our celebrations more prayerful.

Requirements: Must have received First Communion. Ages 8+ are invited.

Time Involvement/Training: One training session, with periodic updates, and social activities.  Mass schedule will be posted.

 

Ushers

Purpose: To serve the Lord and the parish family of the faith community in celebrating the Eucharist.

Duties: Set up for Masses.  Greet and seat parishioners.  Prepare the collection of gifts for offertory.

Requirements: Minimum 17 years old.

Time Involvement: Training is needed.  Commitment of 1 hour weekly.

 

Eucharistic Ministers

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion Mass Schedule

Purpose: Minister the Eucharist to the parish community.

Duties: Assist Sunday and special liturgies in the preparation of the altar, distribution of Communion, and greeting parishioners.  Assist at Communion services or other special events as needed.  Bring Communion to the sick/homebound upon request.

Requirements: Practicing Catholic who has been confirmed and is in full communion with the Church.  Ministry formation training and annual spiritual development.

Time Involvement: Commitment to serve as Minister according to individual commitment and as scheduled, and participation in formation and spiritual development as required.

 

Ministry of the Word (Lectors)

Purpose: Verbal reenactment of God's movement through history.  When the word of God is proclaimed, it is made present now, and His promises to us are fulfilled in our hearing.

Requirements: Proclaim readings at all Sunday Masses, Holy Days of Obligation, and other celebrations planned throughout the year.

Time Involvement: Commitment to serve as Minister according to individual commitment and as scheduled, and participation in formation and spiritual development as required.

 

Music Ministry

Purpose: To provide music to enhance the celebration of the Liturgy for Sunday Mass and special occasions.  To encourage the participation of the congregation in the songs and responses.

Requirements: An interest in music and singing.  Those who play instruments are welcome to bring their talents to the attention of respective choir directors.

Time Involvement: Celebration of the liturgy at appropriate times weekly.  Participation in special liturgies and with combined choirs as necessary.
